There are further whispers this year that indicate a group of the younger folks intend to loudly boycott the festival, citing the fungicide committed by all residents as they harvest and eat the mushrooms. They point most viciously at the Weavers, whom they view as hypocrites of the highest degree - how can they pull and torture the mycelium to make textiles and the like, if, by their own admission, the mushrooms and mycelium have a will of their own?
