Comforting, dry, quiet

3 Watches West, As the settlement and its wilderness begins to give way to the Wasteland, one can find a collection of hoodoos - tall, often spire-like rock formations created through the erosion of softer rock as time passes. Amongst this formation is a hoodoo that formed in such a way as to resemble a stooped and wizened old woman. No one remembers who started it, but the formation has been called “Auntie,” for a long time. It is not uncommon for residents to take a hike out to her when they are facing emotional turmoil, or simply need to ponder on philosophical queries. As far as anyone knows, Auntie has never responded to any of the questions posed to her, but folks often feel better just knowing she’s listening.
