Ever since their discovery, Grub has made it his mission to keep an eye on the Spore Children. He believes there is cause for concern regarding their little “rituals”, that everyone else seems to think are cute. He appeals to the group to help him investigate.
Grub knows of four locations in the Outskirts where rituals have been conducted - Auntie, the Aerie, the Flailing Forest, and the Sunken Village. He appeals to the Punks to investigate these sites, and try to uncover any clues to point to the Spore Children’s intentions. He will remain in Mycircleum, pouring over his notes.
The Punks will find clues that indicate another ritual is likely to be conducted inside of Mycircleum, at the Thorn Pool. Grub was right - they’re up to something. For each Ritual Circle that had its ritual completed, increase the DC of the Spore Children faction’s third goal, Conduct the ritual, by 1.
When the Punks arrive at Auntie and The Aerie, roll on the Spark Tables to generate complications. For the Flailing Forest and the Sunken Village, use maps B1 and B2, respectively at the Hour scale. The exit of each map represent arriving at the Ritual Circles.
Ritual Circles are surrounded by d6+2 pilfered items from the d666 Loot Tables. (p.64-72, EM)
When the group arrives at a Ritual Circle, the Punk with the lowest LCK score should make a LCK save. On a pass, the ritual here has not yet been completed. On a fail, the items have rusted, desiccated, or otherwise become useless as the ritual has been conducted. Knee-high Lavender mushrooms have sprouted up through the items.
Auntie: A thorny vine, approximately a metre long sits in the centre of the circle.
The Aerie: 7 seven-petaled violet blossoms in the center.
Flailing Forest: a mound of nutrient-rich sits in the center, here.
Sunken Village: a wooden bucket containing several litres of pure water sits in the center.
